Home Tour

Welcome to San Pietro Terrace by the Sea, a boutique apartment in the historic centre of Portovenere, on the Gulf of Poets.

The Terrace

The private panoramic terrace is the heart of the property. On one side, it overlooks the façade of St. Peter's Church, one of Liguria's oldest and most photographed landmarks. Below the church, at the foot of the cliff, lies Byron's Grotto, where it is said that Lord Byron found inspiration for his poetry and from where, according to legend, he swam all the way to Lerici to visit the poet Percy Shelley.Directly opposite, Palmaria Island dominates the entire channel, creating a landscape of extraordinary beauty. At sunset, when the golden light reflects on the sea, the view becomes even more captivating. It is easy to understand why so many guests fall in love with it.

The Interiors

The apartment has been designed to offer the highest level of comfort in a setting of extraordinary beauty. The living area opens directly onto the sea, the kitchen is fully equipped, and the bedrooms ensure a peaceful night's sleep.Within the ancient walls of the village, vehicle traffic is not permitted, and at night the silence is broken only by the gentle sound of the waves.

The Location

Portovenere is the ideal base for exploring the Cinque Terre. Ferries leave from the village harbour, a short walk from the property, and connect directly to all five villages — Riomaggiore in approximately 20 minutes, Monterosso in approximately 50. In the evenings you return here, where there are no day-trip crowds, and the village is genuinely itself again.
